Spero was established in 2019 by Robert Singer, the former Chief Executive Officer of the World Jewish Congress (WJC). Robert’s extensive career includes serving in the Israeli Prime Minister’s office and as Chief Executive Officer of World ORT of which he now is its Chairman of the Board of Trustees. In addition, Robert is the Chairman of two non-profit organizations in Israel focused on education for students with a variety of special needs and for hospitalized children – Alumot Or and SASA Setton.
Spero’s Senior Deputy CEO Sonia Gomes de Mesquita was previously the Chief Program Officer of the WJC.
